“ My wife and I have been ordering take out from Alexander's Tavern a lot lately. Probably 5 times or more in the past month. My wife is gluten sensitive, so it was surprising to us that they had gluten friendly options. Our go-to order is the chicken parm sandwich w/ crispy tots, and their buffalo wings. I think as of now, Alexander's wings are my favorite. One thing I can't stand about wings is if they aren't crispy and if you can still see the hairs on the skin. You don't have to worry about that here. The staff is great and friendly. We came to pick up our order two separate times. Typical Baltimore bar in terms of ambiance, but they serve good food and the people who work here are great. ”

“ Food/drinks: Delicious, extensive gluten free menu! (And also great for those with no allergy restrictions). I got a crab cake - a GF crab cake!! - with large lumps of crab. It's been years since I've been able to have one and it was very worth it. Asparagus was fresh. Fries were delicious. The sweet potato tots were too sweet; I wouldn't do them again. I had a yummy mocktail too! Service: Good! Came with my baby and they were very accommodating. Ambiance: It's a tavern feel, so no frills, which might surprise you given the price. But it was very chill and nice to watch people walking by. There were so many things I wanted to try (because when do you find high quality GF food), but I'd really love to do another crab cake. ”

“ I happened to stumble upon this place as I was walking through Broadway Market and I must say- I gotta go back! I went during their happy hour and only had their happy hour French 75. I must say- it was good and STRONG!! The ambiance was very warming and the bartender was super nice and patient as I was looking to figure out which drink I wanted to try. Would definitely recommend for a casual spot especially for happy hour. Affordable prices and great environment overall. ”

“ Be prepared to be rolled out of here when you're done eating! The food is delicioussss and there is so much to choose from on the menu. I went with the crab cake entree with a side caesar and tots and my boyfriend got the croissant breakfast sandwich. Both incredible and filling (seriously, I may not be able to eat dinner after this). There's very cute outdoor sidewalk seating too. Great brunch spot! ”

“ Visited Alexander's on the charm city food tour. I've found a gem that specializes in old fashion crushes. Surprised to try the Brussels Sprouts and specialized tater tots. Dane was awesome and very accommodating and was sure to aid us in exploring the cocktail menu. “ Alexander's Tavern knows what it is, and does it well. This restaurant features all the classic tavern fare foods and represents all the great qualities of American comfort foods. Given the rugged and subtle upscale look to this place, it's no wonder it's become a local favorite. Getting the Maryland burger, I knew I was in for a meal as the burger was perfectly cooked, accompanied with fresh crisp vegetables, and generously topped off with crap dip. Their choice to use a potato Kaiser roll instead of a pretzel, brioche, or sesame bun is such a subtle but refreshing change to burgers in general. The roll's crustier exterior juxtaposed with the soft insides does the burger quality justice overall. The tater tots though. Dear god the tater tots. These things should be classified as schedule I drugs the way I kept going back for more. These things are ridiculously crispy and addicting - I seriously don't know what they did to make them so perfect. I could just go back for these tater tots and be content. To tie it all off - the Alexander's Cheesy Mac is exactly what you would imagine. It's cavatappi pasta with a generous assortment of cheese BUSTED all over it. It's considered an appetizer on the menu but I think it's actually a threat of a good time. Overall, this is the place I would bring someone to introduce to the Baltimore's Fells Point community. It's not flashy and it doesn't need to be. Alexander's Tavern is unafraid to embrace the American spirit in their food and beats to their own drum. I will definitely return. ”

“ I've always passed by, finally decided to come in and I'm so glad I did! I saw quite a few people at the bar area early on a weekday night so that was a good sign. I looked at their daily specials and they all seem amazing, we went on a weekday so there were specials on pizza and BOGO wine. The service was good and the food and drinks were brought out pretty quick. We got the Texas tots, which were super crispy and delicious! Our server recommended we get these if we're getting entrees because they have less toppings and we were glad for her advice. Our entrees were HUGE! I got the hangover burger and that was one stacked and delicious burger. My friend got the chicken Cobb salad and it was also huge and delicious. I've been thinking about coming back nonstop since coming so I would definitely recommend stopping by! ”
